John Wyaux President wyauxj@snpaa.org After a brief stint in Hollywood where he worked on several shows including the X-Files as a visual effects production assistant, John transitioned into a more traditional field where he focused on advising start-up companies on how to fine tune their brand and ideally how to appear larger than they were; co-founded a small pharmaceutical company where he took charge of designing marketing materials and company logos, prepared trademark and patent applications, and for one company handled the preparation of conformity assessment procedures necessary to qualify a class 1 anti-microbial product for distribution in the European Market. John, an amateur artist and art-lover, received an International Design Award (IDA) for Self-Promotion Category in 2009 and a “Product of the Year” Award in 2009 from caregiver.com for CompressionAssist® a donning aid for lymphedema sufferers. Currently, John owns and manages an executive rental space for businesses in downtown Reno and a Coin Operated Laundromat which services vacation rental agencies in Lake Tahoe. A native of Belgium, John speaks French, English and Spanish. He is married, the father of twin girls and a recently adopted golden doodle. |
Margaret Ciorciari Vice President, CFO & Treasurer mciorciari@snpaa.org Margaret Ciorciari retired after 15 years from International Game Technology (IGT), where she held various positions in Finance and Accounting. While at IGT, Margaret was the CFO for an IGT subsidiary located in the United Kingdom. Prior to that, she was the Vice President of Finance and Accounting for IGT's Gaming Systems Business. In addition, she has years of experience working with IGT subsidiaries in Argentina, Brazil and other Latin American countries. Margaret also had 13 years of experience in Finance at Digital Equipment Corporation. Margaret is currently a board member of the For Kids Foundation, a Reno non-profit that helps kids in need. Margaret received her B.B.A. in Finance from the University of New Mexico. |
Diana McIntyre Secretary dmcintyre@snpaa.org Diana McIntyre, MAEd,ADM, has worked for the Washoe County School District for the past 20 years. Diana has had experience at the preschool, elementary, middle, high school, and community college levels. She has served as a teacher, instructional coach and dean. She is passionate about education and discovering ways to improve instructional practices, engage students, and focus on student learning. Diana was selected to serve as a literacy coach for the Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education’s (OCTAE) project, Implementing College and Career Readiness (CCR) Standards in Adult Education. As a national coach, she provides guidance and support to state teams participating in CCR Standards-In-Action as they learn to apply the CCR standards in their state programs and evaluate their curriculum. Additionally, Diana has a Bachelor of Science in Education: Elementary Education & Special Education from the University of Nevada, and she owned and operated a local business for twelve successful years. |
Roberta Long Vice President, School and Community Relations rlong@snpaa.org Roberta Long, MAEd, started her teaching career in Montana. In 1990, she began working in Nevada where she taught K-3, was a Reading Specialist, and also coached and trained new teachers. In 2005, Roberta received her National Board Certification and retains it today. After 41 years in the teaching profession, Roberta retired from Washoe County School District. She and her husband are actively involved in the Northern Nevada community. |
